In
keeping with our emphasis on providing an enjoyable
residential experience for all students at The Sarala
Birla Academy, a vast range of opportunities to participate
in extra-curricular activities have been provided.
Sports
The
school has large playing fields and a gymnasium of international
standards. Your child will have the opportunity to play
a range of sports cricket, football, athletics,
tennis, badminton, table tennis and squash. Horse-riding
activity is on the anvil. A modern gymnasium and a swimming
pool provide the additional physical stretch. To bring
out the child's maximum potential, we have professional
coaches for all sport activities.

Music
and art
Our
school offers Hindustani, Carnatic and western music (vocal
and instrumental), while its art department is equipped
to impart training in a wide variety of skills including
painting, sculpture, pottery and batik, among others.
Additionally, we offer your child a wide variety of co-curricular
activities such as public speaking, quizzing, debate and
dramatics, eco-club, astronomy, dance, design and technology,
photography, yoga and meditation, trekking and even cookery.

Child
development facilities
Your child is monitored regularly for his progress in
academics, extra curricular activities, sports and behaviour.
Should he have a specific problem, it will be identified
and we will work with him to overcome it. A qualified
counsellor will assist us in this regard. The student's
self-esteem will always be maintained.
Community
service
Our
school is committed to the concept of service to the
community. Students and staff will be participating
in community service programmes designed to provide
opportunities for our students to interact with adults
and children who may be less fortunate and to serve
them in ways that are beneficial to the community. Projects
include practical support for local schools and villages.
The school actively participates in the IAYP (International
Award for Young People), previously known as the Duke
of Edinburgh award. Students undertake activities in
the areas of service, skill, adventure and physical
recreation.
