European sojourn
The boys enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of snow capped mountains
At SBA, we believe in the holistic development of a child. We try and introduce them to various aspects of life. One of our endeavours is to make it possible for them to appreciate and understand the cultures of different nations. One such expedition was to two beautiful European destinations: Switzerland and Italy.

The students visited Zurich and Luzerne, the lake city, and the founding city of Swizerland.

This tour to Europe was both educating and fun

The boys enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of snow capped mountains and the ride by water-taxi on the Venetian Lagoon. In Italy, it was the sermon at the Vatican that held everyone spell bound!

This tour to Europe was both educating and fun. The students were accompanied by Mr.Felix Sanctis, Mr. Lonappan, Mr. Sirohi and Mr. Mishra.

S.B.A. wins first position in national group song competition 2006
Hard work and regular practice paid off and we secured the first position
The Bharat Vikas Parishad, an internationally popular NGO has been organising the national level group song competition in various cities of the country for the past forty five years.

This year S.B.A participated at the Bangalore level competition held at NMKRV College for Women on 19 August 2006. In 2004 and 2005, the school team was placed third in this competition. This year hard work and regular practice paid off and we secured the first position.

The uniqueness of this competition comes from the fact that the organisers send the lyrics and the school has to compose the music. Our song titled "Utho jawan desh ki" was set to music by Mr. K.K. Mishra. Eight members from the school choir and three instrumentalists performed in the competition with lots of enthusiasm. The participants were Rishabh Mishra, Sai Nikhil, Meet Shah, Vivek Jain, Ravin Garg, Anmol Jalan, Vishal Srinivas and Vinay Sridhar. Shashank Gopal on guitar, Mr. Rajkumar Mudabi (tabla teacher) on tabla and Mr. K. K. Mishra on the harmonium accompanied the vocalists.

The team will now perform at the state level competition on 15 October 2006 at Udupi.

Best of luck school choir!
