In
terms of the Schools philosophy, education is
about learning that is fun-filled, enjoyable and applicable
to todays world. A counselling program assists
each student to be focused on self-development, the
aim being that he must learn to apply knowledge to develop
his own individuality. At The Sarala Birla Academy,
the involvement of parents is a must for the circle
of successful, quality education to be complete. Towards
this, a program has been developed within the parameters
of a boarding school environment to build parental rapport
so that the School, child and parents work together
towards a common goal the success of your child.
The principal and her team of staff will be in loco
parentis and be responsible for maintaining:
- an
environment of home-away-from-home for the students
- an
awareness and respect for the tradition and culture
of the host country and assimilation of the best practices
of other cultures for global bonding
- a
sense of building a society where the individual is
not only valued but also allowed to develop a sense
of self-worth
Sarala Birla Academy will instill a sense of values
and confidence to help them approach adulthood with
maturity. Within the portals of our School, the
leaders of tomorrow will be nurtured and developed to
enable them to redefine excellence in their chosen fields
of endeavour.
Pastoral
care
Given
that we have only 24 students in a class, there is a lot
of bonding between your child and the teachers. As teachers
are involved in all of the co-curricular activities, naturally
a warm and caring relationship between the two develops.
So even as your child is away from you, he continues to
be a part of a larger family. In sum, our School aspires
to be a true extension of the home where children are
nurtured, encouraged and empowered to think creatively,
act responsibly, work team-spiritedly and live in harmony
with nature.
Every
child is under the personal care of the housemaster,
who fulfills the role of an adult companion, mentor
and friend, always available to counsel and console.
Partnering
with parents
Parents will be involved in the all-round development
of the students. A partnering programme will be developed
within the parameters of a boarding school environment
so that the School, child and parents work together for
the development of the student.
